From Masterchef to Wildbite
Wildbite was founded by Joseph, after briefly appearing on BBC's Masterchef in 2023 where he prepared a Porcini & Chanterelle Ragu. The show served as the inspiration to venture into the world of wild mushrooms, and Wildbite was founded with the mission to make wild harvested delicious mushrooms available across the UK.
We quickly discovered that the UK markets lacks high quality foraged mushrooms, and brands treat these treasures of the wild as a second class citizen.
We believe that people should be able to add wild mushrooms to their everyday diets, supporting regenerative and sustainable sourcing methods, while not compromising on the quality or the nutritional value of their dishes.
Learning from the European mushrooms and foraging culture, where Porcini, Chanterelle and other wild mushrooms are widely available, we felt that wild mushrooms should have space in UK plates too!
Our mission is deeply rooted in sustainability and believing that people should be able to chose and eat food that nature has provided - our goal is to help people Eat Wild!
